Real Estate Experience
I have been a Realtor for two years now and already have a great deal of experience in Real Estate. Since being a Realtor I have sold many different properties including farm land, luxury Westmount property, condos, investment properties and out of town properties. I have two main areas of focus: luxury homes and investment Real Estate.
I chose to focus on luxury homes because of my wealth of knowledge in many of the areas in KW where they are located, including Colonial Acres (where I grew up), Westmount, Hidden Valley, Beachwood, and Kiwanis Park. Luxury properties require a specific type of Realtor in order to sell them properly, and I believe I have the unique skill set clients are looking for with these types of homes. Along with my dedication, I bring my network, a solid marketing strategy, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and a personality that sets me apart from other Realtors.
This skill set also helps me excel in my second area of focus, investment Real Estate. Investment Real Estate is very high-paced, requiring quick decision making and the ability to negotiate effectively. I help investors find great Real Estate investments, including single family homes, duplexes, triplexes, student housing and multi-unit apartments. I even find property where investors can change the property’s use to increase its equity and cash flow significantly.
My Education
I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2005 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning), and in 2006 I earned my Masters of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET). Both degrees tie in great with Real Estate. My Planning degree taught me about city development, zoning, by-laws, and many other Real Estate related topics. MBET taught me how to run a successful business, negotiate a deal, strategize, communicate effectively and other invaluable skills that help me succeed as a Realtor.
My Personal Real Estate Endeavours
My first experiences in Real Estate included helping my father manage his large Real Estate portfolio of multi-unit buildings, starting at a very young age. In addition I learned a lot from my mother who is also a Realtor. I started personally investing in Real Estate and finding my interest in the field continued to grow. I owned and managed student income property as well as bought and flipped a 100 year old house.
My Personal Life
I now live in the University Downs community with my wife Julie, our baby Alex, and our dog Chipper. As a family we love to attend community events and travel when we get the chance. When I am not working hard as a Realtor, you’ll probably find me wine touring in Niagara, playing Blackjack in Vegas, on the slopes out West or simply hanging out with family and friends.
